About Me

My name is Hasanin Al Asadi (Haza) and I am doing a bachelor of education majoring in Mathematics. I have been enroled in Murdoch university since 2012 and even though this is my thrid year at university I am still finishing of my first year units. I started of doing one unit per semester due to the fact that i was working and competeing as a boxer.

 

I differed the frist semester of 2013 to compete in the WA state titles which required 100% dedication and intense training. even though my weight division had the biggest number of competitors i managed to out train my opponents and win the WA state title. After the state titles i decided  to take fulltime units for the first time and the oppurtunity to go on school-prac for the EDN112 unit which was a great exprience. It was a every intense semester as i founded it every diffcult to train and keep up with university but, i managed to succeed and pass all my units. As i went on further with my degree i was pressured by my father to give up boxing and to focus on my studies. This led to a confliction and we agreed that should i fail to win the golden gloves i shall give up boxing and focus on completeing my degree.

 

The golden gloves started 3 weeks after the 2013 end of semester 2 exams. It was an intense competition and i made it to the finals. Unfortunetly i lost and just like i promised my father, i gave up competing and started to focus on my studies. i was dissapointed that i lost and didnt achieve my goal to go on and compete in nationals however i decided to change my priorities and complete my degree.

 

It has been a great journey so far and iam looking foward to the challenges of 2014 and the future that it brings along with it. iam looking foward to graduating
